About ArcStats

[ArcStats] Program  ArcStats, ArcSite Statistics   [Download]
Purpose  Convert the count/log file into a CSV file
Version  0.62 Beta, Saturday the 22nd of May, 1999
Author  Philip Ludlam, © 2000

Installing ArcStats

Once downloaded ArcStats will run quite happily from an archive as long as you are using SparkFS, even if the archive is on a CD ROM. If not then you will have to unarchive ArcStats using SparkPlug on to disc, you may want to put with any other website tools you have.

The Main Window

Once loaded you can drag the count/log file (downloaded from your arcsite website) onto the main window or the iconbar icon. If you want a more detailed output then change the process option from 1 to 2. In the writeable icon below the CSV icon enter in the destination filename or leafname for the CSV file. Either drag the CSV icon to the destination directory or application or click on OK. Whilst ArcStats is working the hourglass will be shown to display progress.

When producing the detailed output ArcStats will also print the visitor number that it is currently processing. This is a debug feature which will be turned off in later versions.

In order to help the development of ArcStats I would request that you send me any problems lines from the count/log file. In particular :
* if ArcStats 'pauses' or crashes at a particular line.
* if you discover that ArcStats did not properly convert a line.
Thank you for your help.
